Bluebird Christian Preschool needed promotional materials to effectively communicate its philosophy, class offerings, and registration information to the community. The challenge was to present a large amount of detailed information in a format that was compact, visually appealing, and easy to navigate. The solution was a thoughtfully designed multi-fold brochure.
Research and Planning: Conducted research on effective brochure designs for preschools and reviewed community feedback to understand the informational needs of prospective parents. Drafted a list of essential content to include the preschool’s mission statement, philosophy, class offerings, registration instructions, and contact details.
Content Development: Collaborated with the preschool staff to ensure all information was accurate and up-to-date. Wrote concise, engaging copy for each section.
Design and Layout: Created a multi-fold layout with dedicated panels for specific topics. Used Microsoft Publisher to design the brochure, incorporating a consistent color palette reflecting the preschool’s branding and high-quality images of the preschool environment and activities to create an emotional connection. Incorporated clear headings and subheadings for easy navigation. The folded design facilitated a logical flow of information when opened.
Feedback and Revision: Shared the initial design with staff and parents for feedback. Incorporated suggestions to improve clarity, tone, and visual appeal.
Production and Distribution: Due to financial restraints an existing color copier and standard 11 x 17 paper was used while maintaining high-quality production. Distributed brochures via direct mail, open houses, community events, and local businesses.
