Problem: One significant issue was the lack of branding and promotional materials for the preschool, which hindered its visibility and appeal in the community. After analyzing the situation, it became apparent that the preschool needed a complete rebrand, so this was my starting point.
Solution: To address this, I spearheaded a comprehensive rebranding effort to create a fresh and engaging identity for the preschool. My goal was to increase community awareness, boost enrollment, and ensure financial sustainability. Leveraging my design expertise, I developed a recognizable mascot and logo, along with cohesive promotional materials. I also created consistent print and digital media aligned with the new branding.
In rebranding the preschool, I focused on creating a cohesive, engaging identity that resonated with families while maintaining functionality. Here’s how I approached it:
Foundation: Developed a comprehensive visual style guide, incorporating a logo, mascot, color palette, and typography to ensure consistency across all materials.
Print Materials: Designed brochures, flyers, and newsletters with vibrant, child-friendly visuals and clear layouts, balancing playfulness with organized information for parents.
Digital Platforms: Refreshed the website with the new branding, ensuring easy navigation, and created reusable social media templates featuring the mascot and bright, engaging designs.
On-Site Branding: Updated classroom posters, banners, and signage to reflect the new branding, creating a unified look within the preschool.
Promotional Items: Designed branded T-shirts and tote bags featuring the mascot and logo to foster excitement and community spirit.
Event Materials: Created branded invitations, banners, and informational materials for events like open houses and community forums.
By maintaining consistency and visual appeal across all materials, I successfully brought the preschool’s new identity to life, strengthening its connection with both children and families. Witnessing the transformation and the positive impact on the community was incredibly rewarding.
These efforts, combined with strategic restructuring and financial planning, resulted in remarkable growth: enrollment increased from 60 to 120 students, and the staff expanded from 8 to 20 members. I am happy to report that the preschool continues to serve its community.
Below, I have included the mascot and logo development, promotional brochure creation, and a talking point presentation as examples of materials developed as part of the rebrand.
